Being observed...

While painting "Royalty" in a local park, I was unaware that I was being observed by a large black snake who was peeking out of a hole in the concrete directly behind where I was standing.  As I was about ready to pack up, an older gentleman stopped by on his bike to warn me about the snake, who had apparently claimed this area for his home and is frequently seen slithering about.  Sure enough, there he was, sticking his head out, watching, watching.

Plein Air Exhhibit at Medina Library!

All Aboard!

Bill and I are steam engine buffs, and have frequently ridden the old iron horses during our travels.  Once, while foolishly wearing brand new white shoes, we had the opportunity to ride in the engine, and I sat with the fireman as he stoked the fire with coal.  Needless to say, I ended up with black shoes!  Wonderful memories. I believe this particular image is of the Blue Mountain and Reading in Pennsylvania.  More research needed to confirm that...
