Being observed...

"Royalty"  Pastel

While painting "Royalty" in a local park, I was unaware that I was being observed by a large black snake who was peeking out of a hole in the concrete directly behind where I was standing.  As I was about ready to pack up, an older gentleman stopped by on his bike to warn me about the snake, who had apparently claimed this area for his home and is frequently seen slithering about.  Sure enough, there he was, sticking his head out, watching, watching.
