Several years ago, Bill and I were returning from a much-needed vacation and, as we rounded a bend in the road, we whizzed past this rusted old car sitting alone in an overgrown field. My immediate thought:
"a painting!" After a quick decision to return to the scene, we pulled as far off the road as we could and, with cars zipping past, Bill exited the car to capture the image for me. As he was taking the picture, a police car arrived to "investigate" what we were doing. Upon learning that I am an artist and the photo was for a painting, the officer wished us luck and went on his way.
