I painted this scene in watercolor several years ago, and decided to try it again, this time in pastel. I felt the image of fog rolling in over the river would lend itself nicely to soft pastel. I'm not sure if it's finished, time will tell. What I do know is that I really like working with the Pan Pastels. It has taken a while for me to really get the feel for how to apply them effectively, and I'm still experimenting. They create such a lovely soft effect!
