Several weeks ago I began this painting at our painting group.  It is roughly based on an image from one of my husband's photos from Iceland.  In his image, there was a large field of lupine, but I was working from memory...no photo reference, and I decided to just have fun and see what I could come up with.  When I hit a roadblock, I took it to our critique group for suggestions on how to proceed.  Taking their comments to heart, I implemented some of their suggestions and this is the end result.  It is quite a different color palette for me, and I had fun playing with the many layers of color.  This painting, along with 4 other of my pastels, will be on display at the Medina County Library from mid-June through mid-July.
