Huge fan of winter here so you have to know I love this painting from the start. The watercolor with its looming mists, towering arch of branches, and deep shadows captures the snow-laden atmosphere perfectly for the lady walking serenely through the scene and looking right at home though I can imagine the soft wonderment in her eyes from her posed to take it all in. Also, really nice tones here.
I've put up a special Groundhog Day post on my blog too and am glad to come across another soul who appreciates the wintry side of things!
